Happy Thanksgiving! (Bonus Post)

Showing gratitude is one of the simplest yet most powerful things humans can do for each other.

How I Used Them:

  • As always, I started with my brows, using the darkest brown in the NYX naturals palette.
  • Next, I carved out my brows with concealer on a flat, shadow brush.
  • I set my lid, then, using a smaller flat brush, I made the shape of the pumpkin on my lid with a bit of concealer, for a base.
  • I then went in with a fairly large, fluffyish, flat brush and applied orange over that fresh concealer.
  • I then took a small, flat, dense brush and put the orange right up around the edges for a more precise application.
  • Next I did the stem.
  • On a very small, long, round brush, I put concealer in the shape of the stem right above that orange blob.
    • The sharpness and precision of the edges of the concealer-stem don’t matter a whole lot at this part, because we’ll be going around the edges with liner, so don’t stress.
  • Now I took my liquid liner, wiped off most of the product so too much didn’t come off, and outlined the pumpkin, then the stem.
    • I then drew the lines on the pumpkin.
  • On a small, fluffyish brush, I used a warm brown shadow to shade around the pumpkin.
  • I then created small horizontal lines through the vertical lines for extra shading. (I’m still not sure how I feel about how that turned out, so this is optional.)
  • Then, on a pointed, fluffy brush, I blended a warm brown around the pumpkin just for definition.
  • I applied white pencil liner to my waterline.
  • On a wide, flat brush, fluffy brush, I blended that orange, on my lower lash line.
  • I put concealer around my eye, and set it.
  • I then took a brown pencil liner and drew the words, thinking the brown would be an outline for the letters, it didn’t really turn out that way though.
  • I then went over the brown outline with liquid liner.
  • I then took yellow on a large, flat brush and put it in my inner corner.
  • Next, I curled my lashes, and applied mascara, and was done!
