How I Used Them:
- After filling in my brows, I cleaned up the edges with concealer in a flat brush, and blended the concealer out.
- I Used my concealer as a shadow base, applying it all over my lids.
- I took the darkest warm brown shade in the smashbox palette (Canyon) and with a small, fluffy, oval brush, I packed it onto the outer and inner corners, leaving a space in the center of my eye.
- With the same brush and same shade, just less of it, I put the shadow in my crease, and blended it up, being sure not to add too much of it.
- I put concealer on the center of my lid where I had left a space earlier.
- I took the brush I used for the brown, wiped it off, and used it to put the deepest orange shade in the NYX palette over top, blending it with the brown on either side.
- On a very small, flat brush, I took the golden shimmer in the Broadway palette, sprayed my brush with setting spray, and packed it in the very center of eye, going back in with the orange to blend it together.
- Then, on the same brush, I took the Butter Highlighter (it’s no longer available, so any yellow highlight would work for this) and put it over top of the golden shade to add more “pop” to it.
- I put the brown liner across my lashline, and the orange shadow on the my lower lash line.
- Next I did my face.
- I primed my face, putting the e.l.f. poreless primer in my t-zone, and the Maybelline primer all over my face.
- I applied foundation, and blended it, making sure I had no harsh lines.
- Blending the foundation down onto the neck is key.
- I put my concealer under my eyes, along the bridge of my nose, in the center of my forehead, and on my chin.
- My concealer is always one shade lighter than my foundation so it brightens where it’s applied
- I set my under eyes with my Airspun powder, using a rounded face brush that fits under my eyes.
- I also set anywhere I put concealer with this brush, using more than needed, and later wiping it off to really set those areas into place.
- With a large, fluffy brush, I lightly set the rest of my face, then swept away any extra powder on my face.
- If you are setting a dewy or hydrating base, use stippling motions with your brush. I used circular motions because it’s faster and since I had a matte foundation on, it sets itself a bit, so swirling the brush lightly won’t disturb it.
- With a smaller, round face brush I applied contour just below my cheekbone, and on my jawline blending it out a lot with tight, circular motions, blending up more than down.
- DO NOT USE TOO MUCH. This will kill your whole face, and be extremely frustrating. Only get the smallest amount, and tap your brush off to get rid of the excess product. You always add more a lot easier than you can take away product.
- With another large face brush (this one slightly denser than my powder brush) I bronzed my jawline, under my cheekbones, and around my forehead to add warmth and depth to my face. (even though you can’t see it in the picture 😂🤷♀️)
- With a round brush, I applied blush to apples of my cheeks and brought it back to just above my bronze, but still in the bronzer a bit to blend them together.
- Using that same yellow highlighter, I highlighted my cheekbones, my nose, my upper lip, and chin with a small, tapered face brush.
- I then went over my whole face with a large fan brush to blend that existing highlighter, and add some to my forehead and cheeks.
- Now that my face was done, I set it with setting spray, waited until it was almost dry so I didn’t pull up the makeup, then tapped it in lightly with my beauty sponge.
- When your setting spray is wet, your makeup is vulnerable, so try to limit movements of your face.
- Next I applied a warm brown lipstick, my mascara, and my false lashes, and was done!
